Ever since I finished Fainne (in November ), I've been looking for a stock with some kind of resemblance to my idea of Liadan, Bran's lady love. Kind of hard, when you've got such a strong opinion on how she should look. For those who've never read the triology, bear with me.

She's my favorite female in the Sevenwaters triology by Juliet Marillier, and one of my all-time favorite characters. I played with the thought of showing her on the moors of Sidhe Dubh, with moonlight, raven, torches and pursuing guards, and the whole package. But that doesn't really portray who she is, does it? Then I saw the expression of this model and the choice was made on the spot. The candle refers to Bran; in the book, she lights it for him on the dark of the moon. The herbs and flowers are probably not the right ones, and I'll be the first to admit I have no idea how a Celtic homespun gown looks like - please ignore such technical faults. <

I'm particularly interested to hear the opinion of those who've read the books; does my version look very different from what you've imagined?
